 🕌 My Fifth Day of Practice: An Unforgettable Experience at the Boqiy Bukhara Complex


Today marked the fifth day of my internship, and it took place at the Boqiy Bukhara Complex. This day was not only a continuation of my practical learning but also a wonderful opportunity to deeply experience the rich history and cultural heritage of Bukhara.




The Boqiy Bukhara Complex represents a beautiful harmony between the ancient spirit of Bukhara and its modern face. Walking through the area, I could see how historical architectural styles are gracefully blended with contemporary designs — a true symbol of how Bukhara preserves its glorious past while confidently moving toward the future.


During our visit, we explored the structure of the complex, its architectural solutions, tourism infrastructure, and the facilities created for visitors. I was especially impressed by the knowledge and hospitality of the local guides who passionately shared stories about the city’s heritage.


Every step within the Boqiy Bukhara Complex feels like a journey through time — the ancient walls and bricks seem to whisper the tales of Bukhara’s thousand-year-old civilization. This made the day one of the most meaningful and inspiring moments of my entire practice.


At the end of the day, I realized once again that Bukhara is not just a city — it’s a spirit, a history, an eternity.

Early in the morning, we set out filled with excitement and curiosity. The weather was warm and sunny, a perfect autumn day.  🏛 My Second Day of Practice – The Charm of Chor Minor Today was the second day of my practicum, and I spent it at one of Bukhara’s most unique architectural monuments – Chor Minor. Every time I visit this place, I feel like I’m walking through the pages of history. But this time was special because I came not just as a visitor, but as a learner. Chor Minor, which means “Four Minarets,” is often mistaken for a mosque. In reality, it served as the gateway to a madrasa built in the early 19th century by Khalfa Niyazqul. Each of its four minarets has a distinctive design, symbolizing different cultures and ideas – a true reflection of Bukhara’s rich and diverse history.  🕌 Day 3 of My Practice: Exploring the Modarikhon Madrasa Today marked the third day of my practical training, and it turned out to be a truly inspiring experience. Our group visited and studied one of Bukhara’s most beautiful historical monuments — the Modarikhon Madrasa. Seeing this site up close and learning about its history left a deep impression on me. 🏛️ Historical Background The Modarikhon Madrasa was built in the 16th century (1566–1567) by Abdullah Khan II in honor of his mother. That’s why it’s called “Modarikhon”, which literally means “Khan’s Mother.” The madrasa is part of the Lyabi-Hauz architectural complex and stands out for its exquisite tile work and elegant design, representing the height of Bukhara’s architectural craftsmanship. 🧱 Architectural Beauty The main portal of the madrasa is adorned with beautiful blue mosaics and intricate geometric patterns.
